The Utility APIs

The Rapid+JS Library utility APIs simplify some common housekeeping tasks that you need to perform when integrating Yottaa and managing your application. The utility APIs allow you to perform the following tasks.

• Add and remove events for Document Object Model (DOM) elements.

• Learn the name and version of the browser the current shopper is using.

• Get cookies and set cookies in your application.

• Test whether an object is defined, or is not defined.

• Test whether an object is a function.

• Write to the console.log to generate feedback when debugging your application.

• Display statistics and debugging information about individual pages on your site in the browser's developer console in easy-to-read tabular format.

• Test how a URL matches a source, so that you can ensure you are matching the desired target.

• Select a DOM element so that you can work with it or modify it.

• Modify a DOM element by inserting or appending additional HTML material to it.
