Journey Shield is a Brand CTRL feature that protects your site from the use of browser extensions like Honey, Rakuten, and Capital One Shopping, which can allow customers to use unauthorized coupons at checkout or direct customers to competitors' sites where they can buy similar products. By blocking them, you can recover revenue that would have been lost.
A list of common extensions appears on the Journey Shield Inventory page. On that page, you can choose whether to ignore, detect, or detect and block the extensions. If you are not yet ready to block an extension, you can set Brand CTRL to only detect the extension each time it is used. That way, you can gather data on how often customers run an extension and how it affects your site metrics. You can use that data to decide whether to block the extensions. You can view data for all detected extensions on the Journey Shield dashboard.
